Tailor your resume without leaving the chat.

Add The Easy Apply to ChatGPT or Claude. Your assistant writes the edits; we score the match, check every edit, apply them to a copy and hand you the PDF.

Claude

claude.ai and the Claude desktop app
  1. 1Open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. 2Choose “Add custom connector”.
  3. 3Name it The Easy Apply and paste the URL above.
  4. 4Click Connect and sign in to The Easy Apply (or create an account).
  5. 5In a new chat, ask: “List my resumes on The Easy Apply.”

Custom connectors are available on Claude’s paid plans. On Team and Enterprise, an owner may need to add it first.

ChatGPT

chatgpt.com
  1. 1Open Settings, then Apps & Connectors.
  2. 2Under Advanced, turn on Developer mode.
  3. 3Create a connector, paste the URL above and choose OAuth.
  4. 4Sign in to The Easy Apply when ChatGPT asks.
  5. 5In a chat with the connector enabled, ask: “List my resumes on The Easy Apply.”

Developer mode is available on ChatGPT’s paid plans. ChatGPT marks custom connectors as unverified; that is expected.

Menus move around. If a step doesn’t match what you see, look for “connectors” or “custom MCP” in your assistant’s settings.

How it works

Your assistant writes. We make it hold up.

The writing happens in your chat, on your subscription. The parts that make a tailored resume safe to send happen here — the same engine as the web app.

Try asking

  • “Tailor my resume to this job: [paste the posting]”
  • “How well does my resume match this role? What’s missing?”
  • “Here’s my resume (attached). Save it to The Easy Apply.”
  • “Show me the tailored resume for Stripe again.”
  • “Give me the PDF of my tailored resume.”
  1. 01

    Bring your resume

Pick one you already have here, or attach a PDF or Word file in the chat. Your assistant reads it and saves it to your library.

  2. 02

    Paste a job

Get your match score for the posting, computed by The Easy Apply — the same deterministic score as the web app, never the AI’s estimate.

  3. 03

    Your assistant writes the edits

It follows our tailoring rules and closes the gaps the score found, using only what your resume already supports.

  4. 04

    We check and apply them

Every edit is validated before it lands, and lands on a new copy. Your original resume is never changed.

  5. 05

See it, fix it, download it

A card in the chat shows the finished page with every change marked, an Undo for each, and PDF or Word downloads.

What it can do

The tools your assistant gets.

Your assistant asks before using anything that writes, unless you’ve told it not to. Reading and scoring are safe to allow.

  • List & get resumes

Reads your library so your assistant tailors the right one.

  • Create a resume

Saves a resume your assistant read from a file or built with you in the chat.

  • Score against a job

The keyword-coverage match, with what’s covered and what’s missing.

  • Tailoring instructions

Hands your assistant our rules and your gap list, so its edits follow the same standard as ours.

  • Apply tailoring

Validates the edits and applies them to a new copy, then shows the result card.

  • Download

A PDF, Word or text link that expires after ten minutes.

Safe by design

The AI proposes. Nothing reaches your resume unchecked.

  • Your original resume is never edited — tailoring always writes a copy.
  • Edits that point at the wrong line, repeat one you declined, or stuff your skills section are rejected before they land.
  • We receive only what your assistant sends to these tools — never your conversation.
  • You sign in once and approve access on our consent screen. Disconnect any time from your assistant’s settings.

FAQ

Questions about the connector.

Tailoring, pricing and privacy on the web app are on the main FAQ.

Is it free?
Yes, for a limited time. Tailoring through the connector does not use your monthly tailors, on any plan. There is a fair-use limit of about thirty tailors an hour per account, far above what a real job search needs. We will say so here, ahead of time, if that changes.
Why is it free when tailoring on the website is counted?
Because your own assistant does the writing on your own subscription. What we add — the score, the checks, the copy, the templates and the tracker — costs us far less than writing the edits ourselves.
Do I need an account on The Easy Apply?
Yes, and you can create one from the sign-in screen the connector opens. Everything you make in the chat is in the web app too: the same resumes, tailored copies and application tracker.
Which assistants does it work with?
Claude (claude.ai and the desktop app) and ChatGPT, on plans that allow custom connectors. It is a standard remote MCP server, so other MCP clients that support OAuth sign-in can connect too.
Will the AI make things up about me?
Your assistant is given our rules: keep every number, title and date as it is, and never invent employers, credentials or tools. We then check each edit mechanically before applying it. Some edits word your experience more strongly — the card flags the ones to double-check, and you can undo any of them.
Where do I see the result?
In the chat, as a card with the finished page, each change and its Undo, and download buttons. The same tailored copy is in your library on the web app, where you can edit it line by line.
Does it apply to jobs for me?
No. The Easy Apply never submits applications or contacts employers. You download the resume and apply the way the posting asks.
How do I remove it?
Remove or disconnect it in your assistant’s connector settings. That stops all access straight away; your resumes stay in your account until you delete them.
